Our First Football Game

Last Saturday night we went to our first 'football' game with a group of Canadians who are here on various work terms. It was fantastic! We saw Manchester City v. Fulham (at the Fulham stadium) and sat right beside the Man City section. Neither of us had ever experienced anything like it. The stadium was actually shaking and vibrating from the fans screaming, stomping and pounding the walls. It was incredible! The game itself was terrific and really exciting - a 3/3 tie. Football is my new favourite sport!

Just another weekend in London, hey?! Seems like you guys are having a blast! Watching football games up close and personal is the only way to go. TV just doesn't do it justice. It's totally the crowd that makes it exciting. Just make sure you are cheering for the same team as everyone else where you are sitting! No London football brawls, okay?

Steve is SO JEALOUS right now he can barely contain himself. The heading was enough to send him over the top but when he discovered that the game was actually a Premier League game...well he is having trouble consoling himself. Glad to see that you guys are having so much fun.
PS. He is glad you didn't see Liverpool...that would have killed him!

Loving the blog. Football games are pretty good live aren't they? How was the hooliganism?
